My surgery went well, and I was treated well in the hospital. My only negative experience was when Dr. Mulkey's assistant scolded me for coming in alone for a post-opp appt. I live alone & came alone since the friend who planned to help me had to go to go out of town to babysit her grandchildren. The doctor's assistant told me I had no business having the surgery if I didn't have a helper available! She knows nothing about me or the strength of my character!! I had someone available to help, but an unforeseen issue arose & took her away. I felt fine & knew I could get to the appt by myself...so I did. Maybe the assistant 's intentions were good, but her comment was totally rude & inappropriate!!! - L.B

With so much information to take it, it would be helpful to have a sheet with a BRIEF summary of the things that will be corrected and and how. My surgery will be to lift eyebrows, reattach muscle over eye, take skin from eyelid. When family asks when I get home, I'm sure I'm not accurate in what I remember. I couldn't remember if the muscle wasn't attached right now, had stretched or was being adjusted because of lift behind hair line. It was more than I realized would need to be done so it was overwhelming. I was glad to know Dr. Mulkay has done a lot of this type of surgery. Still waiting on a copy of my before picture to use for tattoo. When they initially brought it up to me I was told I would have it at the last appt but then Connie said I would have to wait for it to arrive in the mail. No idea how long that wait will be.Kris is wonderful and should offer a group therapy of before and after surgery so ppl can ask questions and get direct answers and feel normal around others in like circumstances. I am still working through the same 4 areas of pain and discomfort but I'm hoping over time it will improve. My only wish overall would have been to maintain the same D size cup I had prior to surgery. I still struggle with what I'm left with; only being able to wear a sports bra 24/7 and not being able to fill a C cup. I just feel sad at the loss...even at my age. - T.S

What I experienced came out of no where very suddenly. I was diagnosed with a 6mm deadly melanoma 4 days earlier. Dr. Mulkey and his team acted fast, were supportive, and able to do the surgery at such a short notice. He feels confident that he got it all. From the CT scans there were incidental findings so I am grateful to have the heads up from those as well to seek medical attention in both those areas. I had a black spot on my toenail on my left foot. It was unknown as to what it was so Dr. Mulkey explained the options to me.
