Wait time was less than 5 minutes. Dr. Congello was good and confirmed what I already knew and treatment plan for issue was what I expected. Extra tests ordered I'm not sure are really necessary and I haven't decided yet if I will have them done. It seemed like it was more of an issue whether or not insurance would cover the costs vs really medically necessary. I have very high anxiety when it comes to tests, procedures, surgery etc. So I'm still undecided as to whether I will have tests done.Nurse was awesome and overall I was well pleased with my visit. - M.P

I hope to hearor know something from the heart center when they check and see if it's covered. Was supposed to see Dr. Congello in November 2015. Called in December and was told I was on his list. No contact from his office until I called again in February and was given the appointment in March. I understand I have to wait to see Dr. Congello, but if I had not persisted, I would still be waiting. I am willing to travel to any site to see him and have conveyed this to his office staff. Receptionist can be rude on the phone when calling the heart center. Not very accommodating. I was supposed to see Dr Congello in Emmetsburg the day of my appointment, but there had been a snowstorm and he could not travel. I was willing to come to Mason City to see him. Can not say enough good about Dr. Congello. He spends time with me and explains things thoroughly. - D.S

Very hard to get my 6 month recheck appt. on time. I do get sent a reminder card that it is time to call for an appt. But it took 2-3months,on a waiting list to see dr. for the next appt. I like for my heart evaluations to be every 6 months, my choice. Last time my 6 month check should have been by the end of the year, 2015, before my Insurance flipped over for the new year. I didn't get an apt with the Dr. until Feb.5, 2016. As it turned out, it was more like a 9 month check for me. I wish the girls could try harder to get patients in who are aware of their health and taking precautions to maintain a healthy level of living life. For me, that means I have a heart appt. with Congello every 6 months. I need his check and reports that all is going well for me and my heart. CONGELLO IS A VERY SWEET MAN, CARING AND CONCERNED ABOUT HIS PATIENTS. I have know him since 2007 when I had by-pass surgery. I trust no other. He needs more new help, he looks more tired each time I see him. - L.J

He also offered his medical expertise on an upcoming tooth extraction regarding the use of antibiotics for an abscessed tooth and limiting the use of Coumadin as they relate to my mechanical heart valve.
