I've always had pain in my foot but it became constant and I waited 8 years to see a doctor. Because I am a patient of another physician in this office, I chose to make an appointment with Dr. Simonson. I'm so glad I did! I went in for one problem and the x-ray showed two problems. He was very upfront and gave me quite a few options. I had tried everything he suggested on my own and the only thing left was surgery. I had my first surgery on May 4, 2017 and unfortunately, I had to have another surgery in March of this year due to the second problem (I waited again) and I cannot believe the difference. I am virtually pain free for the first time in at least 8 years. Dr. Simonson is very professional, friendly and has been very comforting throughout this last year. I am still under his care but feel that in the very near future, I will be 100%. I am very picky about physicians and I would definitely recommend Dr. Simonson. - A.R
Dr. Simonson was wonderful right from the beginning when I was drugged up on pain killers in the ER. Always explained everything, answered all my questions even the obvious ones kindly and patiently. He did a great job putting my broken bones (Tib/Fib breaks) back together! Not that I want to break anything again but I know a great surgeon I'd be happy to see! Rare occurrence to be sad to be discharged from a doctor's care. - Traci.A
Dr. Simonson is an excellent surgeon! He performed a metatarsal osteotomy w/hammer toe correction on my left foot. He explained the procedure very well so I knew exactly what to expect. There were no surprises. My recovery is going as expected & he expects a favorable result. I'm looking forward to be able to return to hiking & biking without pain! He's very caring & encouraging with his patients. Renee is great too. - Debbie Gordon
Dr. Simonson is by far the best foot and ankle physician I have ever encountered. I have had 5 operations on my ankle, due to an injury that occurred from a serious car accident. Because of the severity of the injury and the resulting arthritis and pain, I have been to see many different specialist to get help for my chronic pain and stiffness. My experiences were not bad, but the results of the previous procedures were never as good as I hoped for. Many doctors treat you as just another case, and lack the personal touch of their specialty. I believe what makes a great physician is one who can sympathize with what the patient is going through, and communicate well enough to try and come to a conclusion that best suits the patients needs. Many doctors I saw would take a brief look at my ankle and tell me how bad it was. I was always leave appointments feeling discouraged and hopeless. When I saw Dr. Simonson I did not have that experience. He was outstanding. He was very personal, and took the time to evaluate how this "bad ankle" of mine was effecting my life. He was sympathetic and kind. He took time to listen to my concerns and wishes. He gave me his outlook and medical advice and was so optimistic in his approach. I was so impressed with him that I canceled a scheduled surgery at Mayo Clinic to go with this local Doctor. After I did so, I discussed my decision with many people that I work with as well as my close friends. Every time I mentioned Dr. Simonson's name to people I only heard positive feed back. People told me things like; "he's the best, a perfectionist, too good for this small town". Those are the kinds of things that set me at ease. I am 31 years old and had a Total Ankle Replacement and I can't tell you how full of joy I am to know that I got the BEST care, and will be able to walk without pain or a limp. Dr. Simonson did an outstanding job, and the nurses that were in the operating room told me that he worked hard until he got a perfect result. I have never been so happy with a Physician, or medical decision in my life. Dr. Simonson's amazing attention to detail, and outstanding medical care has made my life a thousand times better. I believe that Prescott is so lucky to have such an outstanding Surgeon here, and I wish him the best in his career here in Prescott. - A.M
Dr Simonson has cared for me since March of 2015. I tore a ligament in my ankle. His bedside manner-outstanding; warm, personal, caring. His professional care-outstanding; thorough, totally repaired, no pain or restrictions. Office staff warm, welcoming! Hope I never need them again, but wonderful to know they are there if I do. - S.F
Simply said........Dr. Simonson and his staff are exceptional. I had major foot surgery and could not have had a better surgeon. He was very thorough in his explanation of what my surgery entailed, and never rushed our office visits. I had trepidations after surgery and both Dr. Simonson and staff gave me immediate attention and always assured me I was not a bother if I had any more concerns and/or questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Simonson. - R.B
The staff was wonderful very helpful I was on crutches and they bent over backwards to help. The wait time was longer because of the pages and pages to fill out on the intake form. This was first time with the doctor he was easy to talk to and very informative about my injury. - C.SANDRA
Just so pleased with Dr. Simonson's help putting me back together! Could not have asked for a better, more experienced doctor and staff to get me walking again after a relatively short period of time and treatment.I would be hard pressed NOT working with Dr. Simonson and crew! - CLABBY.S
