I first started seeing Dr. Richardson in 2015 for a work related injury. I had been dealing with it on and off for 4 years when I was required to see an orthopedic specialist. He didn't push surgery and wanted to try physical therapy. That is what helped me and I can't say enough about the Eric in their Prescott office. I have also had carpal tunnel in both wrists for over 20 years. I was embarrassed to get medical attention for it because I was told it was a result of my being overweight. Dr. Richardson never made me feel uncomfortable and never mentioned my weight. After we discussed the treatment plan and that I was working on my weight, THAT is what he discussed and has always been encouraging with my journey. I ended up getting cubital tunnel in my left elbow and the only remedy is surgery. While he was doing the cubital tunnel release and we decided to do the carpal tunnel release as well. He did surgery in December of 2015 for both carpal and cubital tunnel and I have had absolutely no issues. I finally decided to have my right hand done in February of this year and can't believe I waited so long. I'm very lucky I don't have permanent damage and am very grateful to Dr. Richardson. The staff at Granite Ortho is fantastic and I would, and have, recommended Dr. Richardson and the practice to others. - A.R
Everything went well when Dr. Richardson saw me after having been knocked to the ground at which time my wrist was fractured. Subsequent appointments were satisfactory. Still have one more follow-up appointment. I would recommend Granite Orthopedics to my friends. - C.L
Dr.Richardson was amazing with my daughter when she broke her hand. She was nervous to get a cast and he made the whole experience great. He was nice, caring and he spoke to her the whole time he was in the room. She felt at ease with him and his medical care is excellent! - R.A

I have been in 3 hospitals in Tucson, and one in Los Angeles, and feel that our local hospital in Prescott is not only better, excellent - the surgeon talked with me, the care Ireceived from all the nursing staff was above reproach - the entire experience, and I assume this is for the surgeon, was outstanding. Appointments with mysurgeon were pleasant, he was helpful and I appreciated no wait time.Is this for hospital? Surgeon? Nursing staff? -= everything ran smoothly and I am very grateful for such an outstanding hospital. The support given while waitingto be put to sleep before surgeon, the nurses there giving me support - there is nothing I would even complain about - or mark down from OUTSTANDING>Margaret Joy Blashill - - B.M

Making the appointment was done in a timely matter. The staff was extremely nice, my wait time was no more that 10 minutes. Dr. Richardson was very nice and I would recommend both the office and the doctor to all my friends in need of such a service. - C.S
My name is Tom Rutherford, not Rutherford Thomas. I tried to correct this to no avail. The site wouldn't allow me to delete the incorrect information.Keep up the great work!Tom - R.T
I liked the doctor and he was friendly and answered my questions. He didn't push surgery or pills. He let me make decision on if I needed the shot or go for surgery. And let me call if or when my thumb acts up again. - PIETSCH PAULA

If I had to go through this hell again. It would want the same Doctor and staff. - GOACHER TERRY
The hand was left in a splint and i am wondering if it would have helped to put a cast on the hand. This would have restricted me which would have helped. hand is still stiff but getting better. Doctor was friendly, so was the staff , scheduling appts was easy but the first initial one took awhile after the accident Otherwise pleased and would go back if need be. - A.S
On Saturday 12/26 I twisted my ankle, lost my bearings, fell and broke my right-hand little finger. I went to the ER and they put a splint on my hand. The following Monday my husband called Dr. Richardson's office because he was recommended by the ER, and we made an appointment for 12/31. Dr. Richardson scheduled me for surgery on 1/7. I am grateful that I was able to be scheduled that soon. When Dr. Richardson removed the pins via the exterior of my hand on 2/8, I suppose I should have taken a pain pill in advance. After enduring much pain during the removal of the first two pins, I asked for some sort of cushion to be placed under my cupped hand so I could bear down on that support while he removed the third and final pin, and it helped that he then placed a roll of gauze under my hand. That would be my only suggestion to him when helping future patients with a similar situation.Overall, I felt complete confidence in his skill and attention to detail, and I felt that he is very caring and professional. - B.R
