I arrived a few minutes early and they called me back before my appointment time has arrived. Dr Shaw came in and we talked about my diabetes and how my numbers were doing. After a quick checkup she told me that I would probably have to take another med for my diabetes if my a1c wasn't low enough. Then I went to the lab area had some blood drawn which didn't take too long either. Then I went up front and checked out and left before 45 minutes had lapsed. Very professional and friendly staff. I was checked in quickly and taken back right away. I was there for a 6 month recheck on meds for hypothyroidism, depression, migraines, and hypertension. Nurse Amy confirmed my present meds and did vitals. Within 5 minuts, Dr Shaw came in and discussed health issues, confirmed meds were working and did an exam. She and I discussed some new issues and situations that probably were causing some stress issues. We discussed my continuing extreme fatigue and never brushes that issue aside as not a real diagnosis. I love the fact that, despite her schedule, she completely concentrates on me when she is the room - she really listens and nevr forgets to follow up on problems. She is always so pleasant and concerned. Amy is an excellent nurse and I appreciate her very much. They are both excellent at following up on messages in the portal in a timely manner. When my lab work revealed some serious abnormalitis, Dr Shaw was apprpriately concerned, without making me feel panicky, and explained how we aould need to follow up. I have been back for lab work weekly since then, and get results and instructions very quickly. I was a patient of Coley Cassiano's for years, and though when he left, I would probably change practices, but Dr Shaw. in my opinion, is an unexpected blessing for me, and I appreciate how she handles my health issues. I am completely confident in her decisions and thankful for her thoroughness and kindness she had shown. I recently retired from over 40 years in medical field and understand what it means to have a provider like her in a practice. She reflects what every practice needs in a physcian, and as I said, Amy is always pleasant and efficeint - great team!
