My one question I never remember to ask is, If I am out of town can I call in and give my symptoms to have a prescription called in until I can get back to town to see Mark or Dr. Meyers? Went in to see Mark Hepler for back pain x 2 weeks. Weren't sure if it was a kidney stone or pulled muscle. No relief x 4 days so it was suggested by Mark Hepler to get a CT scan done. I was in severe pain and needed to see a doctor for two different issues. The office fit me right in that afternoon. Mark Hepler was very professional and addressed both of my issues immediately. He did a great job getting fluid out of my knee and giving a steroid shot. He then got me in to have a scan of my other leg right away to see about some swelling. The results came in after hours, but Mark still called that evening to tell me what I needed to do to care for my leg. I was feeling better that night, and the next day I was about 80% better, and have improved every day since. Mark is the best I have ever seen. I have been his patient for a couple years now, and I completely trust his opinion. I am so glad I have him to depend on for my medical care. - E.M

Eagle at Oak Ridge is a wonderful practice where you are always treated in a friendly, professional manner. My experience is that I am always seen with only a relatively short wait. However, I always bring a book as even the best of practices can run behind. The nurses and receptionists are always so nice. Getting my blood drawn never hurts. I have only seen Mark Hepler but think he is a very qualified PA. He also is great about taking the time needed for each visit. I never feel as though I am rushed or not given enough time. This was a BP recheck (excellent results, btw) and I needed Mark to check my knee because I had been having pain and swelling from an injury. He was very thorough in examining the knee and then suggested an x-ray. I was extremely grateful to find out that I just needed to continue exercising the knee to get improvement. Mark even showed me some stretches to do to work on getting more flexibility around that knee. I left that appt. without pain meds or having to see another doctor for more tests. Mark is a rarity in today's health care field - he actually cares about the patient and interacts on a "real" level. As a former health care professional myself (pharmacist), I have found him to not only have expertise as a physician but also as regards drugs utilized for treatment of conditions. One outcome of this visit was an addition of a blood pressure medication (amlodopine besylate) to my regimen. Within three days my blood pressure dropped from 144/100 to more like 122/82 (approximate average of 4 readings taken over several days since).
