We love Dr. Gay and so does Nora (when she left the room at the end of the appointment, she got upset and very pitifully called out for "My doctor! My doctor!"). Dr. Gay is fantastic with Nora, she never makes us feel like we're asking dumb questions, and I appreciate that she seems to have a good sense of humor and we can joke around a little bit during the appointments. Her wait time is usually pretty short--which is crucial with a toddler--yet she still manages to take her time explaining things during the appointment. I think that is an important balance because far too often you get the opposite with other doctors--you wait for 20 minutes in the waiting room to be called back, and then another 30 in the exam room, all just to have the doctor rush through the actual exam like it's speed dating. So kudos to Dr. Gay for being great at all aspects of her job! 10/10 I would recommend her to a friend.

We took our daughter to Dr. Gay thinking she had a bladder infection. Ultimately, we ended up being diagnosed with a life changing condition. We were sent to the hospital and there for a week. Dr. Gay visited us while we were in the hospital. She has been our daughter's pediatrician since birth and her visiting us in the hospital was great! So much so that the specialist commented that he was surprised to see her visiting patients because most providers don't do that anymore. We love Dr. Gay.

We were able to bring Ryan in with just 2 hours notice because he was experiencing ear pain and lingering cold symptoms. We barely had to wait. Dr. Gay was very thorough and tested to be certain it was not the flu. She explained the prescription medication as well as suggestions for treating the symptoms. It was definitely as positive as the experience of taking a 2-year-old sick child to the doctor can be.

We love Dr. Gay's bedside manner as well as how thorough she is with our kids. I'm glad that my children leave the doctor's office with a smile instead of terrified to return. I don't even want them "afraid" of the doctor. I know shots and things can alter that, but the nurse was fast with Owen's flu shot so it was over and done. He was more excited about getting a prize than remembering it hurt two seconds prior.

Dr Gay was able to listen to my concerns and address them. My son has autism and is nonverbal. She takes the time to explain what she is doing and makes accommodations to be sure do whatever is necessary to meet his needs...including pull in additional staff. Every medical item brings about behaviors but we were able to get bloodwork with little issue...(thanks Brooke) as well as aspirate and get a culture of area causing him pain. He was actually happy afterward instead of combative. Dr. Gay is AWESOME and my son is fortunate to have her as his pediatrician!

Eagle Family @ Lake Jeanette is the best practice ever. Dr. Gay has been providing care to my son since birth & she has been doing an awesome job. She is so kind, professional, nice, understanding, caring & dedicated doctor I have ever seen (I work in the medical field so I know what I'm talking about). The staff is always nice & courteous. There is no wait time (compared to other practices). Dr. Gay's nurse has been the same nurse since day one so therefore no high turnover rate. Also there is no wait time from the nurse finishing her job & Dr. Gay entering the room. I love you this practice as well as Dr. Gay. They are the best. My son will continue to come to see Dr. Gay until he thinks he too old because he is only 8 now. Also we were living in Greensboro & then moved to Virginia about 6 years ago & we continue to drive to this practice for physicals & sick visits.
