Virtually no one likes a colonoscopy, but, given that, my experience was excellent. I love being able to go to the Endoscopy Center instead of the hospital. Dr Magod has went above and beyond his duty to care for me. He received me after a procedure gone wrong. I ws very scared and sceptical of any GI Dr ever touching me again. This was not an option I had. Now I would need a GI Dr for the rest of my life most likely. Dr Magod was extremely kind and patient with me in hospital and out. Going home was very difficult time cause it meant facing a lot of changes in my life I wasn’t ready for. I wasn’t able to work so my insurance expired. I couldn’t get help because I wasn’t young enough or not old enough so fell thru the cracks. Talked to many organizations but had no program that could help me. Dr Magod and his nurse tried to hep and find resources but nothing. Dr Magod never turned me away. I had to have multiple procedures and eventually had to be referred to another of his colleagues at UNC then to thoracic surgeon. I have definitely given him a challenge over the last ten years but he never gave up on me. He always is looking for ways that may make my life better from health stand point. I would never consider seeing anyone else. He is a good person in heart as well as doctor.

Dr. Magod and my PCP, Dr. Hensel, persuaded me to come in for another colonoscopy. As with the previous colonoscopies I did it without sedation. I appreciate Dr. Magod's offering that option. He and the assisting nurse were attentive and caring about how I was doing during the procedure and diminished the discomfort by pressing on my stomach. The whole process went well from the nurse who got me ready to the nurse who checked me out after the procedure was over.

I received a message on Friday that my check-in time was moved up to 9 am, and I appreciated the early start. I only waited a few minutes, and soon after was taken back to to be prepped. The phlebotomist (I assume) who inserted the needle for the saline drip did a great job getting the needle into the vein in one try, and with no pain. Everyone else was great, explaining everything and answering any questions. Afterwards, Dr. Magod gave a report of his findings to me and my wife. I have not a single complaint about my experience at your facility on Sept 25. Even though I arrived 15 minutes earlier than the suggested time, the receptionist ( with exceptional demeaner for so early in the morning) checked me in and helped me put on my identity wrist band . In less than 10 minutes , she ushered me back to the prep area. The nurses I came in contact with in this area were very pleasant and easy to talk to. As they were preparing me for the procedure, they explained to me what to expect. This really helped to ease any anxiety that I had. After the procedure, everyone was very accommodating as I regained consciousness . I really liked Dr. Magod's "bedside manner".

I don't remember anything of the 8 hours following the start of sedation. I do remember all of the nurses were extraordinarily kind and helpful before I was sedated. The doctor and each nurse introduced themselves and explained exactly what they were going to do. I had a great experience, as always. This was my third colonoscopy. Everything was easy from start to finish, except for the prep day. There's nothing anyone can do to make that easy! The day of my procedure was a breeze. Love how cozy those nice warm blankets are. The nurses and Dr. Magod were so helpful, kind and made me very comfortable. I went home and right back to normal, treating myself to a fantastic meal after waiting so long to eat. Ate all the things I never allow myself...yummy, several pieces of cheesy buttery garlic bread, Fettuccine Alfredo (I never ever eat a cream based sauce) and a giant piece of chocolate cake for dessert!

I arrived on-time at the facility and was immediately taken back to the changing area where I disrobed and walked right next door to my assigned gurney. Apparently, I was told that Dr. Magod was running behind about 30 mins. or so, and I would be called as soon as possible for the procedure. I was thrilled to find out that Ms. Cooke was the anesthesiologist since I also taught her children as well as Dr. Magod's in their elementary years. We had a few minutes to discuss old times and catching up, and very shortly after that, I was told I'd probably be "out" in about 15 secs., and she was right. So...afterwards, I was left to wake up more actively so that I could get ready to go home. It was again a very easy and informative procedure that I so appreciate having so that I can remain colon-cancer-free.

I have been a patient of Dr. Magod for many years and always have been treated with respect. On 6/29 I underwent a colonoscopy. Everyone was very caring and friendly and each person performed their service in a very professional way. They were very helpful and made sure I understood what was going on, and if I had any questions. Dr. Magod explained what the procedure was about and that I would receive a sedative and I was very relaxed. When it was over, Dr. Magod spoke to my friend and also a nurse spoke to her. When I was awake (a bit) she drove me home and got me settled. She lives across the street with me. She made many trips over to check on me. I was not too active the rest of the day. On 6/30 I took a shower and ate a little soup. Tried to maintain drinking a lot of fluids. Each day thereafter, I felt a little better.I had tp call the office once to explain that I wasn't feeling too well and folks I spoke to were very caring. Each time I felt my questions were answered. Even though it was not the best thing to go through, I worst part was the preparation.l Dr. Magod and his staff could not have been nicer. I will always faith that Dr. Magod will keep me in good health.

Making the appointments were very easy. Office visit for prescriptions was a breeze and took less than 15 minutes from the time I entered the office until I left the office. Morning of the colonoscopy all clinic personnel were extremely nice. I was taken back immediately. Nurses took good care of me in preparation and exit. Was sitting in Tex and Shirley's having breakfast in just a couple of hours. Cleansing is of course a royal pain but that is not the fault of the staff, provider or facility. All in all, the entire experience was not so terribly awful.

I was referred to your facility by both a medical doctor and current patient. From my fear of procedures I have cancelled several but was promised if I saw Dr. Magod and Eagle Gastro. I would be in excellent hands. I want to commend you on how well I was taken care of from the minute I stepped in your waiting room and was greeted by the check-in receptionist to the nurse that assisted me to check-out. The receptionist put me right at ease, although I thought I was going to make a "run for it", and had me laughing before I left her desk. The nurses that prepped me were like mother hens, calming, reassuring, and doing everything possible to calm the fears of a very nervous patient. One held my hand and the others offered to give me a hug, whatever it was going to take to make me relax and feel reassured that all was ok. Marc is one of the finst doctors in all of Greensboro, always taking time to communicate in layman's terms the problem and solution to every inquiry. On this particular visit he was able to reassure me that my symptoms had nothing to do with cancer, rather a medication I was taking and his recommendation to stop that medication proved to be exactly what was needed. Marc was the first to diagnose my wife's cancer in 2005 and made referral to appropriate doctor. Just before her death on April 25th of that year, he came by her hospital room to see her even though he was not involved in her treatment at that time. A man of great faith with much compassion to go along with his medical knowledge and experience. I highly recommend him to anyone.
