Made visit for suspected sinus infection. Jennifer immediately diagnosed that sinusitis was the problem. After checking my allergies she recommended ampicillin for treatment.. She faxed in my Med. Also suggested I use humidifier and to coat nostrils with Neosporin twice a day. She also suggested that I stop my Flonase for time being. She did thorough exam and gave me the exact instructions I needed.

For a first visit, everything in the front office ran smoothly in getting the paperwork done. I was seen so quickly that i did not have a chance to finish the paperwork. My wife and I are very very pleased with the Service that Jennifer provides. She is very friendly and she puts us both at ease as she enters the examination room. She obviously is always well prepared to work with us as she exhibits a detailed knowledge of our health histories. What is most impressive is her thoroughness as she examines each of us in turn. Jennifer may be a Physician's Assistant but we both believe that she always does a better job than all the doctors each of us has had since the late 40s. Jennifer has great communication skills keeping us well informed of all the details pertaining to our health. We try to have one of our daughters accompany us when we have an appointment with Jennifer so she keeps them well informed as well. Dr. Wolters is my primary and Jennifer has seen me multiple occasions when Dr. Wolters is out of the office. I moved to Virginia for a little over 3 years and still drove 3 hours to go here. From the front desk staff to the nurses and providers I've seen, I wouldn't go anywhere else if I don't have to. I recently moved back to NC and live in Durham. There is no one I've seen that is as genuine and competent as Jennifer and her nurse, Sandy. They are the best at what they do. At a time when healthcare is becoming just like any other business, only concerned about money, they still put their patient's best interest first and foremost. Jennifer actually takes time to listen and use clinical clues to help solve medical issues and goes above and beyond. Among other things, she was able to figure out the source of my pain that had lasted 6 months and that 2 other doctors couldn't help with. Please don't spread the good word about her though, we don't want to make it hard to be able to get in to see her. :-)

The blood draw was a little delayed, since there was only one tech. Sandy and I covered the things she needed to initiate, vitals and use of drugs and supplements. Initially, Jennifer Willard covered any action steps recommended the previous year; had I observed any differences in balance, attention, memory or whatever we had talked about then? Was there anything new since last year? I mentioned some minor observations; including some infrequent jaw cracking and possibly something else I don't now recall. Whatever was new going on, we agreed not to take any action, pending a change in status. We also covered my diet and exercise. She checked over my lungs and whatever else a doctor checks with deep breaths, my eyes, ears and throat. I had several dermatological visits; we discussed them. We had someone come in to witness, when she had me cough, and for a rectal exam (my prostate is gone). We discussed the pneumonia shot (booster for expanded coverage); I agreed, and later received the shot. We covered my colonoscopy status, which was good. It has been nearly a month, but I don't recall having any questions or reservations after the exam, or after reviewing the results of the blood work. It was thorough as usual.

Last Friday morning after breakfast, I accidentally cut my left index finger while slicing grapefruit peels for the disposal. It was a clean cut, but deep and painful. I washed the wound and applied pressure to stop the bleeding while my husband called the clinic. Would I need stitches? An antibiotic? I was able to get an appointment to see Jennifer Willard within the hour. Jenn functions as my primary care doctor, and I am very pleased to work with her. She thoroughly cleaned the cut, closed it with steri-strips rather than stitches, and carefully bandaged it. Soon I was on my way, able to continue my day as planned. Thanks to Jenn, what could have been hours waiting in the ER was a minor interruption in my morning. Jenn is a smart, considerate, thorough, efficient practitioner as well as an excellent listener and communicator. I never feel rushed when I see her, nor has she ever been condescending to me. I feel blessed to be one of her patients!

Jennifer has been all I could have hoped for in a medical practitioner for our family. I've been an Eagle patient for about 20 years. I was having a difficult time finding a family Dr.that really clicked with me. One Dr. moved, and so forth. One office the wait time was extremely long. I found Jennifer Willard a year or 2 ago. I've never been so pleased. She is so thorough, she listens to me, she takes time with me. And she makes me get a physical and a mammogram (I've let those go before). I really am pleased with Jennifer, and she works well with my other Dr's.
