I am very pleased with all aspects of my surgery and subsequent care. Dr. Ahari did an excellent job and he was very straightforward and detailed as to what he was going to do and what all possible outcomes could be. My five day stay in the hospital following the surgery was great and everyone who took care of me did an excellent job. They were very caring and attentive and were always checking to make sure I was ok and not in pain. They encouraged me to walk as much as I could and to keep using my breathing device consistently. I am home now and I am healing wonderfully with no complications as of yet. So, a great job was done by all and I am deeply grateful for the excellent care I received. - N.F

I saw Dr. Ahari on consultation from Lark T. (Dr Tannous) for internal hemorrhoids. I met Dr. Ahari for the first time and was impressed by his manners and knowledge. Following an examination he was of the same conclusion as Dr. Tannous. He said that surgery would not be necessary but explained a band procedure that they are now using on internal hemorrhoids; showing me diagrams and explaining in detail the procedure and said he could do it today if I desired. I had not been prepared for this today and was taking a rather lengthy trip within a couple of days. He indicated I could call him this when I was ready. Following a colonoscopy earlier I had been prescribed the use of Metamucil 1 TBS twice daily. I had had only one bleeding episode since taking that. He directed me to continue the use of the Metamucil and if I continued having the heavy bleeding episodes to just call him and he would get those taken care of. Doctor and nurses were all exceptional in their care and concern. I will be calling to schedule this procedure sometime after May 8th, as I continue to have spotting and one additional heavy bleeding episode. - T.B

I had a f/u with Dr. Ahari after being admitted to the hospital, they found a small umbilical hernia on the ct scan. I was greeted with smiling faces by the clerks. I did not have to wait long for the nurse to take me back to the room.. she was very nice. It was not long after that that Dr. Ahari arrived. Dr. Ahari was nice and professional. He took the time to answer my questions, showed me my ct scan and explained the findings. - D.S

Install port for use in blood draws and inserting chemotherapy. Everything went okay as far as I know. I was basically out of it for the procedure. Anesthesiologist, assistant surgeon and Dr.Ahari plus support staff were all very professional and efficient. Dr. Ahari is known for not much of a bedside manner, but as far as I am concerned he is top notch. He isn't there to babysit the faint hearted. He is there to make sure that invasive surgeries under his control and responsibility are the right ones done perfectly. His concern for me as a patient was genuine and he involved me in the decision as to choice of direction to the extent I understood the situation. He seemed pleased to have a patient who "got it" immediately and did not question his recommendation based on fear or ignorance. I would recommend him to anyone who requested assurance of his abilities or knowledge of his craft. - N.K
