From the very first meeting with Dr. Murphy, the tests, biopsy, and results were presented to my wife and me in a very matter-of-fact manner. He laid out the choices in a clear way, giving the pros and cons of each procedure. When he was finished with his presentation, my wife and I decided on radiation therapy. After 39 sessions at the Lombardy Clinic at Aurora in Oshkosh. I continued to see Dr. Murphy on a regular basis. Each of those visits was friendly and positive, although the hormone injections were not something to look forward to. The PSA tests indicate that I have reached the point that I need not continue my visits. Dr. Murphy and I made a good team and together the desired results were accomplished. - E.W

Dr. Murphy is always a pleasure to work with and is very caring and sympathetic to your needs. He personally calls you (even if it is after hours) and tells you what is going on with test results and explains things in details and makes sure you understands. Dr. Murphy was very clear in explaining the procedure and expectations post-op. I appreciated that he kept my wife informed at the hospital when I needed to be returned to the operating room. I also appreciated his daily early morning check-ins during the hospital stay, as well as those by his colleagues. I was 36 weeks pregnant when I was admitted to the hospital for severe kidney stone pain. It was the Fourth of July and Dr. Murphy was the on-call urologist for the holiday. He was absolutely wonderful, and took his time explaining the surgery that I needed and answering my questions regarding my pregnancy and how/if the surgery would affect my baby. Dr. Murphy made me few comfortable and confident during a scary time for a first-time mom. His bedside manner is impressive and appreciated. My surgery went well and his staff was quick to respond when I had post-op questions. My follow-up appointment with Dr. Murphy revealed some other issues that could require treatment, and I am confident to tackle those issues with Dr. Murphy as my provider. - A.S
