I went to the Eagle Walk In Clinic on Sunday, November 10, for what I thought was another bad sinus infection. Turns out it was something different. The doctor that I saw recommended a couple of options for treatment, and said that if the options didn't work that I should probably go to an ENT specialist. So far the doctor's remedies are working!! So glad that the Eagle Walk In Clinic is only about a mile from our home! My husband and I are retired military and have tried twice to sign up with one of your (Family Medicine) doctors. However, both times we have been told by Pamela that Eagle Physicians doesn't take Tricare. It's strange that my husband & I can go to the Walk In Clinic when needed, and use our Tricare and Medicare, but that we're not allowed to sign up with a regular family medicine doctor there at the Eagle Clinic. The Walk In Clinic is great! Everyone is really nice and we always get great care from the doctors. Just wish that we could get all of our medical care there.Sincerely,B. Saunders - .S

I was very impressed by how quick it was to check in at the front desk and how short the wait was to be taken back to the exam room. The Dr. also came shortly after my condition was entered into the computer by the nurse. The x-ray tech was very quick in taking the X-rays in preparation for the doctor to diagnose the injury to my hand. I honestly could not have been more pleased with the friendliness and professionalism of all of the staff who helped me from check-in to check-out. I went on a friday evening and arrived around 6:45. The after hours clinic closes at 7:30, so I was surprised to walk in and be seen immediately because there is normally a wait. The lady at the front desk was VERY sweet and nice. I do not remember her name but if I saw her face, I would know who she was. She even asked for my preference on if I wanted a male or female doctor because of what I was going to be seen for. I really appreciate her asking because depending on where you go, the front desk staff might not even ask you a preference. I waited about 5 minutes and then was called back. The nurse was very sweet and so caring. Doctor Hennessey came in and immediately greeted me with a smile and friendly face. She asked me questions and allowed me to ask any questions I had as well. She made the entire visit very pleasant and quick. I got my test results within 10 minutes and a prescription and was on my way! I went into the office thinking I might have bruised or cracked rib because the paint was well over a 10. The doctor seemed to pinpoint the rib area during the evaluation. I then went for x rays and was told it might be at least 24 hrs. to get the reading back. Before I knew it, they came to my room and someone at another location was also reading it right away. Within a half hour I found out that I had a broken # 9 rib. I was promptly given the proper treatment plan and out the door I went. This was my first time there but I would not hesitate to go back. - .G

Went to walk-in clinic due to pulled muscle in back. Staff was friendly and helpful upon arrival. Wait time wasn't terribly long even though I was a walk-in. Doctor and nurses were both nice and helpful. Doctor prescribed me anti-inflammatory to help with the pain and swelling and also showed me proper stretching techniques to help prevent future injury. Nurse and Doctor worked very efficiently, but also showed compassion and were attentive to my feelings. I was in great pain and while treatment was very painful, I'm so glad I visited Eagle after hours. They all did a great job! - .U

Got to the clinic before 12 and was number 1. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. I had a big infection in arm from scratch that got infected. Arm was swelling around elbow and toward front. Dr. Freeman was very thorough and helpful. The antibiotic has reduced the amount of swelling and redness and pain. Probably would have been in big trouble one more day. Wait was very long, but it was very busy and I was walk-in patient--receptionist informed me of wait time.Blood pressure was way over what it usually is...I think 180something over 99....was kind of alarming for me, but not mentioned further during visit by me or MD. All staff were kind and helpful. Thank you for having a walk in clinic to provide medical service without having to have a pre-scheduled appointment. I appreciated the personalized care my son received, the culture was more like his PCP visits than the run of the mill "doc in the box" urgent care centers. This was my first visit to Eagle Walk in Clinic. When I arrived at 9, the waiting room already had several patients. The reception staff were friendly & efficient. As I was there for evaluation of a cold, cough, sore throat, they gave me a mask to wear while waiting. Excellent precaution! I was taken back to a room by Robin (I'm pretty sure that was her name). She also was very friendly & courteous. A few minutes later Dr. Lue arrived to evaluate my symptoms. Again, I found him to be warm & friendly. All staff were professional. I think I was there about 2 hours, which was good considering how busy they were. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this clinic, although hopefully not too soon!Thank you for the good care I received! - .O

I mentioned this to my wife after her PT appointment and she said call the doctor but it was to late so we called the walk in clinic. I was seen in about 20 min. and found the doctor and staff competent and thorough. The Dr. said he would forward a recommendation to our family Dr. for follow-up but if I had any recurring problems to got to the ER. Which I gratefully didn't have to do. - .P

Miller was pleasant and listened to my plight and we discussed together what type of treatment I needed.I had been having an Allergic reaction to a 2nd dose of Cipro for a UTI. Coughing, wheezing and rash. Knowing from past experience, that a Prednisone treatment would be the solution to stopping this reaction for me.He gave me a shot and prescribed a Prednisone treatment. There was follow-up to each concern that needed it. Also an explanation was given to why other measures were not needed. I could tell that my condition and concerns were already expressed to the doctor before I saw him. The doctor was excellent, pleasant, positive and careful to listen and provide me with needed information and recommendations. I was given explanations that seem to have been the answer to the symptoms. His belief about the reason for my chest pain had not occurred to me when the same symptoms had occurred years earlier and sent me to a cardiologist who suggested out patient surgery in order to really be conclusive. (Sorry, don't recall his name) Both gave me excellent treatment, and I am recovering nicely from my condition. Considering I did not have an appointment, I thought the wait time was very reasonable except for Saturday, at which time I was there for three hours (actually seen for about 10 minutes). The only thing I didn't like was sitting in a waiting room full of sick people, but that is unavoidable regardless of where I could have gone. The staff was very helpful, kind and compassionate. I feel very grateful that such a great walk-in clinic is close to my home and workplace. - J.I

I was unable to walk up and down steps, and my knee area was hurting badly. I went to the Eagle Urgent Care on Sunday, and the staff was awesome...so friendly and helpful! My doctor was Dr. Alvin J. Lue. He was immediately on top of the situation. He determined immediately that it was not my knee, but I have pulled hamstring muscles. He gave me a prescription for Naproxen; showed me 3 exercises to perform twice daily followed by 20 min. ice packs; wrote a note to the pharmacist describing the knee brace I need for support. All of the staff was professional, caring and efficient! The facility was spotless; I waited only about 5 minutes in the waiting room. My entire experience was excellent. My regular doctor is Dr. Wm. Randall Harris at Eagle at Triad; he has been my doctor for about 25 years. He is the most caring, humble and attentive doctor I have ever had, and I am 70 years old. He has been excellent in my care and treatment throughout my years as his patient. The Eagle Practice simply cannot be excelled in every service provision that I have experienced. - M.S

I was very distressed when I came to Eagle last week as I was feeling like my symptoms might be related to my heart. My primary physcian and GYN couldn't see me and a friend told me I should fo to your walk-in clinic. Dr. Lee or Lu, I can't recall his name, saw me and he was just amazing! I was clearly having an anxiety attack and my blood pressure was 30 points higher than it normally is so you can imagine how alarmed I was. He spoke to me in the most calm and reassuring voice and thoroughly explained the dynamics of what was happening in my body to make me feel so strange but assured me I wasn't in any danger of a cardiac event. He made me laugh to help calm me down which was very helpful. I would be happy to come back to see him anytime and would consider having him as my primary care doctor if I didn't already have one. I would highly recommend you clinic to anyone! The check-in staff was very friendly, as was the nurse who took my vitals before I saw the doctor. - M.R

I had cut my finger while making (homemade split pea soup I was cutting carrots ) and because I am on blood thinners I could not get it to stop bleeding . The doctor and the staff were very helpful and kind and got my finger looked at . The Dr gave me options that he could do and said that he thought he could get it with strips . It worked great he kept me for about 20 - 30 minutes to make sure that the bleeding had stopped . He also got me home in time to have 2 bowls of great soup with no salt !!! Thank you David - D.P

Dr. Gates was easygoing and open to my concerns. As a 54 year old man, I've had a few too many experiences with arrogant doctors who try to dictate care based on hunches leaving me regretful I even went in for "care". She had me swabbed for flu and strep, then before long, she came back with the results of those tests, which both came back negative. She prescribed me a 5 day round of medication, 'just in case'. From the time I checked in at the registration desk until I was released, I was probably there an hour, maybe. Each staff member, starting at the registration desk, the nurses and Dr. Fulp treated me kindly, courteously and compassionately, listening to all and recording all my symptoms and concerns. I was very impressed, such that if and when I or my family requires after hours medical treatment in the future, I will not hesitate to come back to the Eagle clinic and in fact it will always be my first choice. The Dr failed top put the DEA # on the prescription for the pain meds. Office was now closed. I called the office on call doctor who told me only the doctor writing the prescription could fix it, but he said he would try to call the doctor.He called me 3 times to keep me aware of what was happening and finally the doctor who wrote the prescription called the pharmacy I deeply appreciated the timely manner in which the on call doctor followed up on this matter - D.T

The waiting room was full at 5:30. I was astonished that many people were sick enough to seek care late in the day. I was called back to the examining room. I didn't have to wait long to the see the doctor. He listened as I described my illness. He prescribed five days of antibiotics and a new inhaler. He also gave me a prescription for a steroid. The antibiotic didn't stop the coughing. I stared the steroid right after the antibiotic. The steroid worked well with continued use of the inhaler. All the care I received was fine. - B.E

He tried several times and then he stepped away and demonstrated on himself what he would do. She asked him if that was all that he would do and he said that he promised that was all that he would do. She was still reluctant about it but because of his patience he was able to get it done. I saw a Dr. Cynthia White for pain in my side and a UTI. She did an X-ray,blood pressure, temp, and oxygen level. She felt that I needed a test that could not be done there so she asked me to go elsewhere for it. She had a gut feeling that something was not right and had she not told me that she would worry and not sleep if I didn't get the test I did go and was admitted with a pulmonary embolism. The hospitalist said that I had a very smart doctor and had it not been for her my outcome might have been very different. I am very appreciative of her diagnosing abilities. - M.S

The staff quickly got me in to see Dr. Rankin and she confirmed my BP reading was abnormal.The next thing I knew I was on an ambulance to Cone Hospital. They took me in immediately. No one knew what happened to me while I was pulling weeds in the yard, so all had to wing it on judgment call and medical knowledge/assumption. I came to the Walk In Clinic because I could not get my regular doctor. I waited roughly 2 hours to see Dr. Allen Ross. After a brief examination, he prescribed an OTC probiotic ALIGN. I began taking it immediately. The impact was swift and I noted a marked improvement in overall strength which has continued to be good.My only negative was the clarification of the dosage needed. The prescription slip said to take weekly. The pharmacy and the ALIGN box said take daily. A call to the clinic cleared this up. I took it daily for one week, and then on an as needed basis. The weakness has dis-appeared and I feel much stronger and better overall. Dr Ross agreed with my self diagnosis that the likely cause was the consumption for 90 days of a low dose antibiotic prescribed by the Urology NP.Problem has been resolved. - J.G

I was greeted in a friendly manner and was taken back to an examination room in a reasonable amount of time after I checked in. I had a severely inflamed tendon in my right ankle and had been unable to walk for 5days. I went to the clinic because my permanent residence is in Florida and I had no regular doctor in Greensboro. The receptionist was very helpful in getting me assigned to see a doctor. X-rays showed no serious damage and I was given a prescription to reduce swelling and relieve pain. We waited 1 1/2 hours to be seen. This was frustrating, but I understand they were seeing people according to the severity of the illness since it was a Saturday. My mother, 86, was there for hemorrhoids, and wanted to see a female doctor,which could have been part of the delay. I was very pleased with the diagnosis and the resolution to my Mom's problem. Came home from the hospital that day with a UTI and needed to get on top of it quickly. Called to see if they had an on site lab and they said they did and they also said they were not busy if I could come then. Got there 45 minutes before they closed. They did not make me feel rushed at all so that they could get home on schedule. Lady at check in immediately said she had been the one I had talked to on the phone and was glad I could get there. They did a urinalysis and within minutes saw Dr Stoneking. He was super nice. Said I was dehydrated which could have caused the UTI, gave me a prescription for antibodics, and sent me on my way. Short wait on doctor Smith who ordered x-rays to my right foot. The woman who took the x-rays of my foot was very congenial and made the experience as easy as possible. I had broken my 5th metatarsal and twisted it. Dr. Smith contacted the orthopedist at hospital, Dr. Yates, since Eagle on call person was not available. Dr. Smith released me with a boot, crutches, and directions for making a follow up appointment with Dr. Yates on Monday. (I went to the clinic on a Friday night.) I brought my older son to the clinic. He had contracted a virus from his younger brother. He had a high fever, body aches, joint aches, head ache, congestion, a cough, and a case of the hiccups that had continued for over twelve hours. He began having trouble breathing while we were waiting to see a physician but there were three people ahead of him in the queue. I asked the admitting nurse whether, because of his breathing difficulties, he could be moved up in the line. She got a nurse to triage him immediately. By this time my son was also having a panic attack but the nurse and the doctor did a great job of calming him down. They treated him for influenza and for the hiccups, which resolved after his first dose of Thorazine. My heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of the clinic for how they handled the situation, and for their understanding when my son began to scream in panic! Walk-in clinic was run very efficiently and courteously. The fact that they are an Eagle facility made it easy for them to look up my records as I routinely go to another Eagle facility. I was sick and coughing and could not wait until Monday. Another thing I liked was that all of us with upper respiratory infections were asked to wear a mask to prevent the spread of infection-very smart. - .Fields

I could not believe how fast I go registered and seen by the doctor. It was so excellent, I called my daughter who was also sick and told her to come right over to be seen. - .M

Arrived and checked in about 9:00 in the morning. Waited about 10 minutes, then was called into an examination room where I saw the nurse and shortly Dr. Wolters who examined me, talked with me about the problem and prescribed a Z pack for treatment of a bacterial infection in my sinuses and throat - Doris M Hall

I arrived at Eagle Walk In Clinic at Guilford College with pain in my right chest and difficulty breathing. I was soon triaged and saw the Dr. She thought it was a possible Pulmonary Embolism and advised me to go to the nearest hospital. She would have called 911 if we wanted, but we decided that my husband could drive me there just as quickly. My provider called the hospital to let them know I was coming, and also sent a note with me detailing her findings and the reason for the diagnosis. When I arrived at Cone Hospital I was met by a nurse and immediately taken into a room, instead of having to wait in the waiting room. I was seen very quickly by the Dr. at the hospital and sent for a scan. My provider at Eagle Walk In Clinic was correct. I did have several Pulmonary Embolisms, and I was admitted into the hospital. This was my first time to use the clinic. There were many coughing and sniffing folks since there seemed to be a bad cold bug circulating around the community. I appreciate that the staff handed out face masks to those thought to possible be contagious. I did have to wait a good while, but there was a high volume of patients there. I came in with a cut on my fingertip which had bled quite a bit but was healing, however the bandaid was stuck to the skin and I needed a new dressing and assistance in getting the old bandaid off without taking off the new layer of skin. It was a small injury but I was treated with such great care and kindness- much appreciated! - .B
