Eagle Family Medical @ Triad operates with a high degree of efficiency. The entire staff are professional and personable. The front desk staff are welcoming to incoming patients. They process patients quickly, so that other patients do not wait unnecessarily. Appointment times are adhered to reasonably. Waiting to see the doctor is also very reasonable. Upon entering the room, my doctor greets me cheerfully and proceeds to review my personal health file. She asks all pertinent questions regarding my health, and together, we discuss options for optimal improvement. She provided samples of a medicine for trial to see if it helps with bladder control. She did a breast exam ,heart exam, breathing exam, eye and ear exam. Finding ear wax buildup in my right ear, she arranged for the nurse to flush out my ear to clear out the problem. She reviewed my medical history and preventive procedures : as shingles vaccination, pneumonia and flue shots, Mammogram, my other medical care by other doctors (as eye exams). she asked questions about my emotional health,. She recommended continued good eating habits and my walking exercise. She arranged for lab tests following her exams. Dr. Candace Smith has been my doctor for the last 11 years. But specifically on 7/7/2008 when I went in to see her for a strange headache, she saved my life. She has a clear understanding of her own knowledge-base and knows when to refer to a specialist. Carol's mental handicap made it very difficult for any provider to care for her. However, Dr Smith got through all the barriers and established a wonderful relationship with her. She made her understand the need to eat appropriately for her diabetes. She encouraged her to lose weight and she did. Dr Smith's concern was evident and Carol felt that. As Carol's caregiver, I had tremendous support from Dr Smith. She answered all questions I ever had and helped me deal with Carol's medical issues.Even when making a referral to another physician, Dr Smith chose people she knew could relate well to Carol.The lab staff made a special effort to relate to Carol as well especially in the early days of our going to this clinic. They made the experience fun for her. They were always very efficient.In summary, Dr Smith treated Carol as a person. She recognized her limitations and dealt with them.
