My physical exam was as expected and went just fine.What I am concerned about is how accessible the practice is for visits when you are sick. I recently needed to see my primary care giver because I have the flu. After calling 6-10 times during working hours and reaching a recording that gave no option to hold to speak to someone, I gave up and went to a different care facility. I could have tried the Eagle walk-in clinic but I needed help earlier than the opening hour of noon. Also, my wife had gone in there the day before at noon when the facility supposedly opened to find the place full of people who had somehow accessed the facility and signed in prior to posted operating hours. She ended up waiting 3 hours to see a doctor. I need a better way to access care when I am sick. I would like to speak with someone from the practice about my best options for urgent care matters. - .S

I always have a good experience with Dr Reade and his staff. I trust him completely. And I don't trust doctors very much so if Dr Reade tells me something I believe him completely. Dr. Reade came in and reviewed all the nurse had entered into my chart, read my past visit history and discussed current physical health. Did my annual exam and refilled my prescriptions to be placed on file with my pharmacy and discussed a new medicine he wanted me to try. This was a second visit to deal with having two unrelated infections simultaneously. On the night of the first day I took the antibiotic, my right ankle (only) developed a rash all around that ankle and partly down onto the foot. It didn't burn or hurt, but it hurt to mash it. Dr. Reade switched to a different antibiotic, in case the other one was causing an allergic reaction. The new one also was effective in case MRSA was involved. I have tried many times in the past 30 years while a patient of Dr. Reade, and have been specifically encouraged by my wife's experience with that procedure a year ago. After going through that with her, I want to experience that style of life together with her. We discussed surgery, and was pleased at the warmness but frankness of Dr. Reade's coaching. My insurance, BC&BS Anthem, requires me to participate in 6 consecutive months of physician or nutritionist monitored weight loss program before they will certify the operation. This visit, June 7, will count as the first visit that we discussed this new program of weight loss, and work with Dr. Reade to setup appointments alternating between nutritionist and his care. I hope to have this surgery after the first of the year (2017). I appreciate the quick response email between us, using the portal, to discuss my visit to the Surgeon yesterday, June 23 and he wrote back offering to help setup these appointments with me.
