Had bad pain in abdomen. X ray showed bowel blockage. Was told to go to High Point ER.CAT scan revealed a kidney stone, which had been the cause of my pain. Stone passed and pain is gone. An unusual bug bite appeared on my leg, which continued to worsen in condition. With each passing day, the bite continued to grow a large bull's-eye rash around the initial bite mark. After a week or so, I began to worry about the bite and what may have caused the rash to continue to spread. I called Eagle Monday morning (5/08/17) to schedule an appointment. I explained my condition and they immediately scheduled an appointment for me on the day of. Within two hours I was able to see my regular doctor, Dr. Courtney Wharton. Dr. Wharton has always been exceptional and treated every visit with care. She gave me great insight into what may have caused the bite and why my body was reacting in the manner that it was. She prescribed an antibiotic for me to take to clear up my reaction, which worked great. The bite soon stopped itching and is now a faint trace on my skin. Working in the yard, my right hand swelled, gotten red, then darker red = I decided I needed to have attention. Got appt. with PA. No one knew what had happened, but got a topical for the itching and an anti-inflammatory drug for the swelling. Returned 4 hours later to the Walk in Clinic because the swelling and redness were coming around the back side of my hand and running up my arm. About 3-4" from my wrist was a mushy, watery spot about the size of a half dollar = ?? cellulitis? Dr. at Walk In Clinic did not know what was happening, but gave me an antibiotic, Sulfamethoxazole-tepds tablet. After a few days = all was well. Never knew what I 'got into in the yard.' PA and Dr. were very courteous, professional, knowledge,(baffled)did not hesitate to prescribe medicine. A good experience both times. - Mary J Moody
